Accountancy Apprenticeship - Beckfoot Trust

Job Description:

  • To process orders and invoices for goods and services, using the finance software.
  • To process online purchase orders and card payments.
  • To ensure purchase order or invoice related queries are dealt with speedily and effectively.
  • To ensure all orders are delivered in the agreed timescales, deliveries match the purchase orders and any discrepancies are queried with the supplier.
  • To assist with budget holder requests and queries including goods to be returned.
  • To provide routine administrative and organisational support.
  • To assist in ensuring effective procurement practice and ensuring Best Value principles are met.
  • To assist with issuing petty cash payments.
  • To assist with BACS payment runs.
  • To undertake word processing and IT based tasks e.g Microsoft Office and Office 365.
  • To maintain manual/electronic filing and information systems.
  • To input complex data of manual and computerised record/information systems.
  • To be able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • To operate within the guidelines of the Trust’s financial procedures and policies.

Qualification and educational requirements
Maths and English GCSE A-C, 4+ or Level 1 equivalent

Training provided:
The apprentice will take the AAT Foundation certificate in accounting (Level 2) as well as Maths and English Functional Skills if required. Teaching materials and online resources provided by Mindful Education for a blended learning experience on the college day release at Shipley College.
