Activities Coordinator - Springbank Care Home

Job Description:
As an Activities Coordinator in social care you will:

  • Have the freedom to plan, design and implement a range of social activities for Residents
  • Provide individualised therapeutic activities for Residents
  • Ensure each individual’s needs for friendship, social interaction, recreation and culture are met
  • Develop meaningful person-centered plans for daily activities
  • Plan and implement events & get togethers for our Residents and families
  • Liaise with community groups to ensure that residents have access to clubs and activities outside the Home
  • Plan outings
  • Be creative in sourcing interesting and diverse entertainers
  • Liaise with residents, relatives and colleagues in order to deliver the best service to our residents

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A creative flair
  • Strong organisational skills
  • The ability to relate well to people from all types of backgrounds
  • You will need to be sociable
  • Be able to communicate well with our residents and external activity providers
  • Previous experience in a similar role or environment would be beneficial however, full on the job training will be provided for the right candidate

£9.80 per hour
