Job Description:

• Safely using of all the tool room equipment and machines
• To repair/maintain and modify press tools
• To do routine servicing and refurbishing of tools
• To attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve at the press with minimal downtime
• To manufacture new and replacement parts to engineering drawing
• The principles of how different parts of a tool function
• To be able to evaluate each job and determine if it can be repaired in the press or must be taken out and in to tool service for repair
• To be able to estimate length of time required to perform the repair

Weekly Wage:
£10,757 Annual Salary

Qualification and educational requirements:
English Grade 9-4, Maths Grade 9-4

• Assist and train others
• Work with minimal supervision

Training provided:
Engineering technician Level 3 Apprentice Standard
