Personal Assistant - Direct Payments
Job Description:
As a personal assistant you will be employed directly by an individual with a disability or long term health condition who needs support to live independently. You will work closely with the individual you support in their home or out in the community. As each person is different, the role of each PA is very different. The adult who is seeking a PA will give you a good idea of the tasks they will expect you to do and the type of support they need.
Wage per hour: starting at minimum wage but negotiable with your employer
Employer Name & Location: employed by the individual you will be supporting
Working week - contracted hours / full time / part time: Flexible working hours and days
Number of vacancies & closing date for applications: unlimited vacancies and no closing date
Duration – Perm / temp: flexible hours available to work
Qualification and educational requirements: no requirements
Essential and desirable skills:
Experience of providing care and support, whether as a paid job or for someone in your family is desirable but not essential. Have right type of values and skills to support an individual with learning disabilities/difficulties. Good communication skills. Being understanding and kind. Responsible and reliable.
Training provided: DBS provided through direct payments
