Production Engineering Apprentice - Teconnex Ltd

Job Description:

  • H&S Improvement projects on the shop floor
  • Provide engineering solutions to internal and Customer quality concerns
  • Monitor and analyse current manufacturing methods to create improvements including: Cycle time reduction / Yield improvements (scrap reduction) / Process changes to prevent quality concerns
  • Engage in creative problem solving to address operational issues
  • Participate in factory layout changes to facilitate capacity increase or operational improvements
  • Continuous Improvements projects, using available tool and techniques to reduce waste
  • Work closely with Maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve machinery utilisation
  • Familiarise with all aspects of clamp manufacture, including sub components
  • Familiarise with processes and procedures associated with manufacturing in an IATF accredited facility
  • Support the creation and maintenance of tooling, process, and fixture databases
  • Comply with Health & Safety policy and standards
  • Take personal accountability for your own safety at work
  • Take reasonable care for your colleagues’ health and safety
  • Identify and report hazards, incidents and accidents
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy
  • Use all equipment in a safe manner, observing the duty not to misuse or interfere with anything provided in the interests of health and safety

Weekly Wage:
£10,757 annual salary
