Admin Assistant: Programme Support Officer (Estates and Facilitites) - University of Bradford (Kickstart Placement)

Job Description:

Main Purpose of Role
The University will be implementing an institution-wide Sustainable Development programme commencing in September 2021 that will focus on delivering outcomes aligned to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

The postholder will provide programme support to enable the successful implementation of the programme. The postholder will gain knowledge and experience of working on an exciting University-wide programme to improve all aspects relating to sustainable development. The postholder will be a key team player that will enhance the delivery of the programme by providing administration duties as well as information gathering, analysis and dissemination to targeted audiences.

Main Duties of Role

Conduct student and staff surveys to collate information on public awareness around sustainability matters, analyse and present data and findings to project team.

Arrange meetings with key stakeholders, prepare materials and help distribute information for project work streams.

Update project Sharepoint with relevant information provided by workstream leads/project teams. Ensure communication channels are kept up to date to reflect progress.

Essential and desirable skills:

  • GCSE English and Maths at grades A* to C
  • Able to demonstrate experience in administration processes and procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email. Experience of responding to customer queries and dealing with such issues in a confidential manner when required.
  • Excellent written and oral communications–detail focused, accurate, clear
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work Willingness to learn new skills.

Training provided:
Central and local induction, on the job training, access to various training courses by University’s People Development Team.
