Admin Assistant: Student & Graduate Opportunities - University of Bradford (Kickstart Placement)

Job Description:

Main Purpose of Role
This role will be part of the Employer and Placement Services Team (EPST) within Career and Employability Services. They will work alongside other members of EPST to source and promote opportunities to students and graduates, support the management of specific vacancies and maintain employer records. This role will contribute directly to the employability outcomes of students and graduates which is a key measure of success for the University.

Main Duties

  • To seek graduate and student opportunities for work, internships and placements through company websites, jobs boards and social media
  • To promote vacancies to students and graduates using online vacancy boards, VLE, social media etc
  • To create and maintain employer and/or project records on behalf of EPST
  • To contribute to projects managed by EPST aimed at providing work experience opportunities to students and graduates such as the Bradford Graduate Internship Programme and Summer Experience
  • To promote the broader Employer Services offer to employers, including part time work, voluntary work, business projects and graduate employment
  • To contribute to the development of appropriate marketing materials aimed at students and employers including brochures, web based materials and publicity for external audiences

25 hours per week - Mon-Fri, to be agreed on appointment

Essential and desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email. 
  • Excellent written and oral communications–detail focused, accurate and clear 
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Innovative, creative, solution focussed and can work independently or part as a team
  • GCSE English

Training provided:

Central and local induction, on the job training, access to various training courses by University’s People Development Team
