Marketing and Social Media Assistant - The Cellar Trust

Job Description:
The Cellar Trust is the largest mental health charity in Bradford and delivers mental health support for people over the age of 16 to people living across the District ranging from crisis support to employment of support. Most of our staff have their own experiences of mental health problems and we are passionate about the role of peer support.
We are looking for someone to join the team who is interested in developing a career in communications and marketing, and is confident and passionate about the use of social media. No formal qualifications are required, just enthusiasm and an interest in communications, marketing, PR and social media.
Weekly Wage: National Minimum Wage

Working week - contracted hours / full time / part time: 25 Hours, Mon-Fri but hours can be flexible, to be agreed with line manager

Duration – Perm / temp: 6 Months
Essential and desirable skills: No experience is necessary but an interest in learning about hospitality/catering and customer service is important, as is excellent personal hygiene. Applicants must be over 18 but are not required to have any qualifications. An understanding of social media channels and an ability to use them to share our messages.
Training provided: We have our own in-house employment support team and people coming to us will be offered an opportunity to receive support from that team as well as being able to access our range of training. Our Marketing & Fundraising Lead will offer training in all areas of marketing of interest and be on hand to support.
In addition to the ‘on the job’ training provided by our team further support will be offered from their dedicated SkillsHouse work coach. The work coaches, amongst other things, will be able to help the young people make a written record of the skills they’ve learnt and duties they’ve held in order to be able to create and update a work ready CV. SkillsHouse is a partnership which incorporates external bodies across the city region including the colleges and University – the support offered and provided will depend on the individual needs for example we have access to Bradford College’s distance learning modules – 27 in total which include course that address topics such as employability skills and customer service skills etc.
