Processing Team Member - Magna Management
Dough is a new and exciting business in Leeds City Centre making fresh made to order desserts. We pride ourselves on fresh food, quality ingredients and 0 food waste. We are known for our friendly team and exceptional customer service skills and this is at the heart of what we do. We love working within the Leeds community and are looking at ways to get more involved with upcoming festivals and food markets.
We are looking for a total of 3 Processing Team Members. As a Processing Team Member, you will be required to work in our shop. The role will include taking orders from online portals, customers who come into store and preparing orders for existing Clients.
You will be responsible for taking and preparing orders to the correct specification ensuring that they look as good as they taste. All of our orders are handmade to order and full training will be given on how they are made and how they are decorated.
You will also be responsible for measuring and mixing the appropriate ingredients as per our specifications. You will ensure that every item that leaves the shop is prepared to the highest standard meeting our customers expectations and is packaged in a neat and tidy manner.
We are looking for staff who are friendly, approachable and who will work hard to help us build our new and exciting brand. You might see us from time to time standing outside the shop with free samples and chatting to the locals and we would love our staff members to carry the same ethos.
As a Dough member you will be able to work closely and efficiently with the existing team and being able to work under pressure and to meet time scales. You will also be able to have attention to detail to ensure that our products look clean, neat and tidy before they leave the store. You will also ensure that the shop and kitchen is clean at all times. All staff will wash utensils, appliances and wipe down surfaces after every order ensuring that health and safety and food safety processes are followed at all times.

Essential and desirable skills:
All training will be provided by the management team however we are looking for an individual with a strong work ethos and someone who is reliable. By this we mean that we are looking for someone with good time keeping skills and someone who is willing to work hard and who wants to learn.
We are looking for individuals who are friendly, approachable and who will be able to build good rapport with the customers who call into the shop.
As we are a growing business we feel that this is a great opportunity to get involved and to learn how business works.
It is important that the candidate understands that this is a training role and therefore we are looking for reliable and dedicated individuals who will last the distance and complete the programme.
Right from the very beginning interview feedback will be provided (after the interview) to all candidates whether successful or not including CV feedback. We will provide every staff member with a folder containing training that has been undertaken and also details of any meetings.
Mentor meetings will be conducted on a monthly basis (a total of 6 in total) discussing progress, strengths and things to improve on (on both sides).
Induction training will be provided and Health and Safety in the workplace. We will also train the individual in Food Hygiene and how to keep the kitchen, food preparation ares and appliances clean.
Weekly and daily records or attendance and timekeeping will be kept (as this is crucial to help our business grow and also for the candidate going forward in their employment career). Targets will be set and support will be provided to enhance CVs.
The Dough management team have a wealth of experience having worked for large Co-operations around the country, one of our management team is a a former legal training consultant and the other a general manager of over 10 years with his own team. We are therefore looking forward to training and supporting our new Kickstarters and are looking for people who are willing to learn and to take on new challenges.
