Apprentice Enablement Assistants – Bradford Council

Job Description:
As a Health and Well-being service we provide a range of social care and support services to people who live in the community, some of which have dementia and complex needs. The apprentice will follow a programme of training relating to the role and achieve the appropriate skills, competencies and qualifications of the role by the end of the training programme.

We are looking for an individual who is committed to undertaking an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Adult Care Worker.

To qualify for the apprenticeship, you must have GCSE Maths and English at Grades A-C/4-9 or a minimum of Entry Level 3 or above in Maths and English.

You must also have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years to qualify for Apprenticeship Funding

You will be expected to work weekends, bank holidays and other religious festivals, as part of a rolling rota covering a 24 hour period.

A requirement of the role is to work towards a Level 2 in Health and Social Care.

An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.

As this is an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship candidates will be assessed first on numeracy/literacy skills.  Only successful applicants from the assessment centre/selection process will be invited to interview.

A full manual driving license is required for all posts and you will be required to drive lease vehicles as part of your duties.

Weekly Wage:
Band 4: £18,562-£18,933 pa

Under the apprenticeship scheme Year 1 is paid at 80% and Year 2 at 95%
