Home Care Worker - Care 24-7

Job Description:

1.To assist people who use our service with all aspects of personal care including:

  • Getting ready for bed
  • Having a bath or shower
  • Going to the toilet
  • Hair and nail care, make-up, shaving, oral care
  • Support to take medication
  • Catheter care
  • Help with meal preparation including eating and drinking
  • Getting up, washed and dressed

2.To help people who use our service to participate in daily activities of their choice such as:

  • Companionship on social activities and outings
  • Crafts, reading and writing
  • Shopping, collecting prescriptions
  • Collecting pensions and benefits
  • Paying bills
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Housework

3.Work in accordance to the policies and procedures of Care 24-7 and applying with legal requirements e.g. CQC & Health and Safety at Work Act.

4.Ensure that the care tasks detailed on the support plan are performed and report any concerns to a manager.

5.Build two way relationships of trust with your colleagues, people we support and their family.

6.Ensure a safe working environment for yourself, the service user and your work colleagues and report any concerns immediately.

7.Complete simple statistical information and maintain records kept in the service user’s home accurately.

8.Commit to learning and developing yourself in your work and undertake any training or development programme in order to improve your personal skills.

Weekly Wage:

Hourly rate –
£9.50 basic hourly rate
£16.62 bank holiday rate

You can select one or more availability slots depending on whether you wish to work full or part time.                                                         

1) 07:00 – 14:00 hours                                   

2) 14:00 – 18:00 hours

3) 18:00 – 22:00 hours

Qualification and educational requirements:
Desirable -  Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2

Essential and desirable skills:
Previous experience working in health and social care is desirable or a caring role in another sector. Previous experience of supporting a person e.g. a family member or friend.
Good customer care skills

We are looking for team members to work in Bradford 8, 9, 17 & 18.  Preference will be given to those applicants who hold a full UK driving licence and have transport available for work but we will consider applicants who are willing to walk.

Training provided: 
You will be provided with a training package to fit your individual and company requirements including Diploma H&SC Level 2.
