Job Description: Bridge is a well stablished local provider of services for people with complex needs, including substance misuse, mental health, homelessness, and offending behaviour. This new and exciting role will oversee significant expansion of our supported housing model and enable us to achieve the ambitions in our new 3-year Strategic Plan.

  • The post-holder will be the strategic housing lead for Bradford District's drug and alcohol housing support grant programme. 
  • The post-holder will work closely with internal and external stakeholders in developing and implementing Bridge's supported housing strategy.

Annual Salary: £38k-£41k subject to qualifications and experience (Pay award due in April 2023).

Working Week: 37.5 hrs

Qualifications and Level of Education Required for Role: 

  • 3 years management experience which includes service, staff and financial responsibility. 
  • Significant experience and record of achievement in supported housing.
  • Experience of project development and implementation.

Driving License Required?: No

Essential and Desirable Skills: 


  • A strong and detailed knowledge of all aspects of housing management. 
  • Experience of using Housing Management Systems.
  • Evidences understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and standards in relation to service delivery.
  • Evidences understanding of equality and diversity and its relevance to the work of the organisation.
  • Awareness of partnership issues and relationship management.
  • Understanding of HR procedures.
  • Good MS Office skills.
  • Successful track record of providing strong leadership, motivational and team working skills.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Strong written and oral presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage change and demonstrate entrepreneurial flare.
  • Ability to understand and contribute to strategic planning and development.
  • Ability to identify service gaps and develop new service specifications.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timescales.
  • Able to demonstrate a consistent approach towards others and operate with confidence and integrity.
  • Ability to marshall data, relevant evidence and arguments in the promotion and evaluation of service standards.
  • Ability to plan and monitor financial budgets. 


  • Degree level (or equivalent) qualification.
  • A relevant professional qualification.
