IT Security for Users - CISCO introduction to Cyber Security
Have you got a keen interest in Cyber Security and want to gain a qualification?
On this FREE online course you will learn how to monitor potential risks and the steps to take to protect your own and others’ systems, data and software. For example, you learn how to minimise risks from unauthorised remote access and how to carry out disaster recovery and contingency planning. On completion you will also have access and support to complete the Cisco unit – Introduction to Cyber Security .
You may progress into roles where you need to have the knowledge and skills to keep yourself and others safe when using digital devices and communicate and collaborate online, and have an understanding of Select, appropriate procedures to monitor and minimise security risk to IT systems and data

Date and Duration: Starts 4th October 2021, every Monday and Friday 9.30am-11.30am till 12th November 2021

Required qualification and educational requirements for attendance:
You are eligible to join this course if you are over the age of 18, employed, furloughed, at risk of, or facing redundancy and live in Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, Wakefield or York. Please note, for this Level 3 course you need to have GCSE English at grade C or a Level 2 qualification in any subject.
