Shaping Futures - Training Provider: Bradford YMCA
New programme for 16-25 year olds in the Bradford area! Shaping Futures is a short programme of up to 16 weeks and will focus on environmental up-cycling. Participants will be part of a small, consistent group (no more than 6). Most sessions will be spent outdoors transforming a piece of land into a community garden space.
Participants do not need any previous experience of working outdoors but, because of the nature of the space and work, they do need to be able to walk, climb slopes and stairs and take part in physical activity such as planting and digging. Participants will need to dress appropriately for the weather, providing their own waterproofs, warm clothes and boots or suitable shoes.
We also ask participants to bring their own refreshments such as a drink and snack as we cannot currently provide this. Participants will be required to wear a mask for indoor spaces. We will provide hand sanitiser and will strive to abide by all Government recommendations and health and safety precautions as applicable.
