Adrian registered with SkillsHouse on 11 November 2025. At the time, he was a student at CECOS College studying for a Business Administration Diploma, and was actively seeking employment during the week alongside his studies. Adrian had prior work experience across a range of sectors, including experience as a machine operator. 

The initial support focused on improving the layout and presentation of Adrian’s CV to ensure it was clear, professional and easy for employers to read. Karen met with Adrian at Bradford City Library, where they worked together to update and refine his CV. During this session, they also discussed the importance of tailoring his CV for each role he applied for, to better reflect the skills and experience required by individual employers. 

Adrian remained highly engaged throughout his journey. He proactively registered interest in multiple job vacancies via the SkillsHouse website and worked closely with the Business Engagement Officers/Resourcing Officers team to submit applications. Mike provided further one-to-one support, helping Adrian to further refine his CV and offering guidance on writing effective covering letters. Mike also advised Adrian to closely review job adverts and person specifications, ensuring his applications highlighted the skills and experience most relevant to each role. 

As a result of this consistent engagement and tailored support, Adrian was offered a position on 9 March at Fretwell’s as a Trainee Machine Operator.
