Overview

The Keighley Jobs & Training Fair (10/03/2026), held at the Sangat Community Centre, successfully brought together 16 employers, training providers, and support organisations for a vibrant, high impact community event. Designed to connect local residents with live job vacancies and skills building opportunities, the fair once again demonstrated its value as a key platform for supporting meaningful employment pathways.

The Event

From start to finish, the venue was filled with energy, conversations, and meaningful engagement. Jobseekers explored roles, training options and apprenticeships, while employers reported steady footfall and high quality interactions throughout the day.

The event showcased opportunities across policing, logistics, social care, further education, rail, health & wellbeing, manufacturing and community services.

CV Workshop Success

A key highlight of the fair was the delivery of two CV workshop sessions, led by the SkillsHouse Employment Adviser Moin. These 40 minute sessions were designed to help jobseekers understand how to structure, write/ polish their CVs to improve their chances of securing interviews.

• Each session was fully attended
• Attendees received tailored guidance, practical tips and examples of strong CV formatting
• Many participants commented that the session gave them renewed confidence in applying for roles at the fair

This added skills focused element proved to be a valuable enhancement to the event, enabling jobseekers not only to meet employers but also to strengthen their employability toolkit on the spot.

With strong attendance (75 local jobseekers attended the event), excellent employer engagement and the added value of practical CV workshops, the fair delivered measurable impact and meaningful outcomes for jobseekers.
