About this event

SkillsHouse Careers & Technical Education have secured funding from the Equality Hub to support the delivery of careers-related learning in primary schools via DfE’s Opportunity Area programme.

Evidence suggests that children’s attitudes towards careers are influenced by gender stereotypes and socio-economic background at primary school age. This can narrow their career aspirations, which suggests that interventions at primary school age could be important in raising children's aspirations before they become entrenched - particularly in relation to girls and STEM careers.
