Bradford East Training & Recruitment Fair
Following a successful pilot last year, SkillsHouse recently held another jobs and training fair in partnership with the Council of Mosques. Located in the heart of the Bradford community at the Islamic Cultural & Educational Association, the jobs fair attracted over 200 jobseekers, who were able to talk to employers and training providers about the opportunities available to them.
Some of the organisations in attendance were West Yorkshire Police, West Yorkshire Fire Service, GXO, Department for Work and Pensions, RAF, Be Caring, Robertson Construction, Realise Training, Bradford College and CITB.
Feedback was very positive:
Marta from Robertson Construction said "It's one of the best jobs fairs I have attended, with great client interaction".
Rhiannan from West Yorkshire Fire Service said “We have managed to potentially fill our IT position with a strong candidate from the job fair, it was a really useful event”.
Matthew from the RAF said “A great event in the locality, great location and we managed to connect with a lot of clients”.
The event was considered another success, with a number of jobseekers finding opportunities to interest them and completing applications during their visit.
