Success of the Next Steps events

Over 250 young people (and some parents/carers) who were unsure what to do after getting their exam results attended Next Steps events organised by SkillsHouse Bradford, the employment and skills service of the Council.

Held on Tuesday 30th August at the Broadway Shopping Centre, and Wednesday 31st at Keighley Town Hall, the events were an opportunity for young people to get help and support to make decisions about their future.  Advisers from a number of organisations were able to answer questions such as ‘how do I get an apprenticeship?’ and reassure those whose results weren’t as good as expected.

SkillsHouse Bradford would like to thank everyone involved for their support – Aspire-iGen, Motiv8, Barnardos, Qube, Smart Training, Learning Curve group, Woodspeen Training, Realise Training, Mencap, School of Rock and Media, Prince’s Trust, Shipley College, Bradford College, Skills for Work, Forster College, Bradford Nightstop, Gambling Awareness, Keighley College and CABAA. Special thanks also to the two venues.
