The PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) “One Firm One Day” initiative offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the professional world of one of the UK’s leading professional services employers. As part of this, Bradford College business learners had the great pleasure of visiting PwC’s Leeds office. 

The carefully curated one day visit is designed to expose learners to careers in accountancy, auditing, consulting and wider professional services, while helping them understand the skills and behaviours required in today's and future workforce. The aims of the visit are to: 

During the visit to PwC, Bradford College learners participated in a range of structured activities. 

Learners were introduced to the firm, and participated in speed networking with employees, gaining insight into a range of career pathways into professional services. This helped build their understanding of how to enter and progress within the business sector. Through mock interview practice, learners had the opportunity to reflect on their skills and how to communicate them in an interview scenario. 

Real business scenarios were used during interactive workshops. Learners applied their classroom curriculum knowledge in a real-world context, bringing together and applying a range of Bradford Essential Skills, including communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving. Learners enhanced their employability skills within the business and professional services sector. 

Whilst exploring PwC’s Leeds office, Bradford College learners experienced a modern, collaborative workplace environment and were introduced to flexible ways of working, alongside the digital tools and technology used in professional services. The learners directly interacted with PwC employees, including early career professionals, who shared their personal journeys and answered questions about career pathways and the skills needed for the future.
